December Challenge: Pull-ups
This months challenge is geared towards our gymnastic department.  To fullfill this months challenge you much practice your pull-ups each day.  The require amount of pull-ups is 20 repetitions.  There is not a requirement to complete all at one time.  The only requirment is that at the end of the day you must have all 20 pull-ups completed.

Vancouver 2010 Olympics Featured Chiropractors For First Time

Elite athletes know a thing or two about keeping their bodies in the best condition possible and many have long praised the benefits of chiropractic care. Some of the more famous proponents of the chiropractic model are Lance Armstrong, 7-time winner of the Tour de France who said he did not believe he could have won the grueling race without chiropractic; Emmitt Smith, former Dallas Cowboys star running back; and Evander Holyfield, World Heavyweight Champion boxer who has been quoted as saying “I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring. I do believe In Chiropractic. I found that going to a Chiropractor three times a week helps my performance. The majority of boxers go to get that edge.”
Chiropractors have for many years helped the world's best athletes compete at the highest levels. This year, chiropractic reached a new level by being included in the Olympics for the first time as part of the official medical staff at the Vancouver 2010 Polyclinic. Chiropractors have been an important part of many countries' Olympic medical teams for decades. The 1980 Winter Olympiad at Lake Placid, NY saw Dr. George Goodheart become the first official chiropractor appointed to Team USA. The United States has included at least one chiropractor on its medical staff ever since.
This year, however, marked the first time that chiropractic care has been provided by the host nation as part of the official Olympic Polyclinic.
Michael Reed, Team USA's Medical Director and himself a Doctor of Chiropractic had this to say: “This is an historic event not only for the chiropractic profession, but also the athletes who will now have access to the care that will help them prepare their bodies for competition. These athletes train hard and endure significant physical demands. Sports-focused DCs, along with other members of the sports medicine team, are specially skilled to assist them in reaching peak performance.”

How many of us have a friend or friends who needs to hear about CrossFit and all the awesome stuff we do?  It's my guess there is at least one person we could talk to about CrossFit.  Why is this so important?  First, think about how CrossFit has changed your life and then write it all down.  It is my guess there is at least 10 things you'll write down.  So, why wouldn't you want your  friends to experience what you have?  That is why it is so important.  People will either go the gym or not.  If they do go to the gym they are doing all the things the magazines are telling them to do to "target" or they are doing the ridiculous "workouts" that are making them sore but are not really the most efficient thing to do.  So this is our challenge.....Tell a friend or friends about CrossFit and get them to come in with you.  "What if my friends lives somewhere else?" Then tell them to find a local box or come to me and I will get them connected.
